ABOUT ME

Desirae Cambrelen, MSc, ACAAB, CSAT

I am an Applied Animal Behaviorist with an MSc in Applied Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh. I am accredited as a Fear Free certified shelter professional, an Associate Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist,  and a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer.

Throughout my career, I have worked in many facets of animal behavior, from applied behavior research on captive polar bears to behavior modification and rehabilitation of shelter dogs rescued from cruelty and neglect cases.

I specialize in animals exhibiting separation anxiety, fear or generalized anxiety but also have extensive experience with dogs exhibiting aggression and arousal. I am especially passionate about helping shelter dogs adjust to life in their new homes.

I currently reside in Northern NJ with my best friend and soul mate, (adopted dog) Wesley. We take every opportunity to soak in the sun (even in the winter!) and love finding dog-friendly adventures everywhere we go.
